Brief History
After experiencing little activity in years past, a small group of Filipino American students on Indiana University’s campus came together in 2004 to revive the Filipino Student Association. Their goals were to promote Filipino awareness in the Indiana University and Bloomington communities by educating people about Filipino culture, heritage, and values. It is our hope that through events such as our annual Filipino cultural night and our participation in other cultural events like the Asian American Association’s Fashion Show and Taste of Asia our organization will expand and our goals will be reached.
